I’m a software developer / consultant / pre-sales guy working at a small vertical-market software company, and spend a lot of my time interfacing systems, helping clients un-knot their knickers, and generally working on improving implementations.

I’ve recently taken up SSIS as a way to provide working interfaces faster, and with at least a framework that can be re-used and modified by others, and have an overall passion for data, and its manipulation and transfer.

My company’s software is an object-based configurator, which allows us to derive a kind of practical domain model of a customer’s product, and then add an expert-system layer to enable the model to interact with the user, the environment the user puts it in, and itself.
